Jadiel’s journey as an Emmy-nominated actor (on Amazon Prime, Nickelodeon, Netflix, PBS Kids) sparked a passion to also create genre-driven Film & TV that’s irresistible B.A.I.T. (Bold Authentic Illuminating Thrilling).
His penchant for creating/acting in socially aware stories that are rich with culture stems from his Afro Latino heritage, fluency in Spanish, and travels to dozens of countries. At 22, he’s one of the youngest yet most ambitious WGC members, and has several projects in development with world renowned companies.
In 2017 he was awarded Toronto Metropolitan University’s President’s Entrance “full ride” Scholarship for a bachelor’s in Philosophy & Film Cinema Studies and during his studies wrote for Cartoon Network and TVO Kids. The Hollywood Reporter named him “One of Canada’s Rising Stars,” and Playback listed him as one of Canada’s Top 10 Talent to Watch in 2021. In 2022 Jadiel became one of five recipients out of 130 applicants for Corus Entertainment’s Young Adult Scripted Apprentice Program. He is ecstatic to have the YA sci-fi/mystery TV show he created “Zombra: Ghoul Detective” be in development with Corus Entertainment’s innovative broadcaster, YTV. Through his producer label, Istmo Productions, he’s thrilled to be the first youth to enact inclusive change as a board member on the Youth Media Alliance.
Jadiel is on a mission to create/act in thought provoking entertainment that lives up to his favourite Latin philosophical quote: “Vita Brevis, Ars Longa.” It translates to “Life may be brief, but meaningful art is long-lasting.”
